Lovely to have on stove

My husband and I use a tea kettle several times a day. Our old whistling tea kettle needed to be replaced for awhile. I had the hardest time in finding a suitable replacement as most of the higher end brands that whistle are very heavy, and even heavier when full. The MacKensie-Child’s goes amazingly well with our kitchen backsplash. I am removing a star as it doesn’t whistle (which clearly I knew when purchased). Getting use to that, but have concern it can boil dry if not paying attention. Also the wooden handle can get hot. In summary lovely to look at but functionality not as practical as I would like.
