Love the dress.

Dress is stunning , fit is true to size. Haven't wore it yet but worried as the zip is sticking and it seems poor quality compared to the dress. I read in another review that the zip broke so I am concerned as my daughters wedding is soon and it's too late to return.

Beautiful in Gold

The Gold Strapless Brocade Midi Dress is absolutely stunning. When I tried it on I felt like a movie star. The dress is exceptionally made and requires minimal alteration for my petite frame. I brought the dress for a special occasion, that has not yet occurred, but I am sure that it will definitely turn heads.

Belle of the Ball!

This is one of the prettiest dresses I have ever put on. Unfortunately it was too big for me. I should have gone by the accurate measurements online but I ordered a size up.

Feel like a Princess!

As with all McDougall dresses, it’s beautifully made. I think this dress would flatter anyone. I’m pretty short wasted and at 5 foot 7 140 pounds I think it’s flattering. I think it would look good on anybody with a larger bust or smaller bust —I’m a 36c and I got the size 6. I could’ve worn the eight, but it was a little big and since I’m wearing it to a wedding and I figured they’ll be dancing involved. I didn’t want to risk any popping out if you know what I mean. It’s definitely puffy but really feels like retro glamour or 1950s debutante. I think the dress would flatter a straight figure or it flatters a curvy figure if you have a small waist. I love it and can’t wait to wear it at a wedding that I’ll be going to. I was given the mandate to wear a gold dress and it’s hard to find gold that isn’t either really a heavy metallic or looks cheesy and this one really fits the bill. If it was too puffy for you, you could probably remove some of the under layer…. But it’s probably best just to get a different dress if you don’t want that kind of puff.

So pleased I bought this

Worn for a wedding in South Africa, 37 degree heat, it travelled from the U.K. packed into a suitcase so easily as it’s so lightweight and didn’t crease at all, it was perfect in the heat and looked fantastic in the sunshine.

Feel like a princess!

Oh this dress is just absolutely divine! Even better than I was expecting, lightweight and elegant. The gold thread is so very bright and glittering and the fit is perfect (if a little long on my 5 foot 2 inches)
