Qulaity kettle but pricey for brand name

I've been using either Le Creuset or Chantel brand kettles for the last 20 years. My last kettle was Chantal and it is almost similar in quality and functionality to Le Creuset. The price difference is about $ 30 more for Le Creuset which I am paying for the brand name. The kettle is of correct weight and the plastic handle and the spout makes it easy to handle without an oven mitt, which I find convenient. 5 year warranty is also a bonus. I am giving 4 stars because I feel it is overpriced.

Not recommended

The quality of this kettle is disappointing! When the water boils, it splashes terribly when you pour it, and the hot water splashes onto you, burning you! I had another one that was cheaper and better, and I never had a problem with it splashing when pouring the hot water. It's a shame that Le Creuset has a design flaw in this product; it's pretty, but it's only good for decoration, because the smaller one doesn't have this problem.
