Like another reviewer stated this coat is not for walking on the coldest days because it’s unlined, but great for wearing over a jacket or sweater while getting in and out of a car. Unfortunately this coat is out of stock, but there is a similar and well tailored Hobbs wool blend wrap coat that I recommend you try. This Ralph Lauren coat runs large. If you are familiar with Ralph Lauren coats, this designer’s single breasted “car” coats run much smaller per size. I need a size 10 -12 in the single breasted car coats but i swim in a size 12 in the wrap coat and need a size 8-10.
Lovely Layering Piece
I have this coat in 2 colors from last year and I find this one to be slightly lighter in weight. My size is 12 and it fits as a layering piece over a jacket, blazer, bulky sweater, etc. I wouldn’t say it it’s for the coldest day or evening but if you are out of the house and into the car then into a building it provides coverage on top of your outfit. It is sized similar to an overcoat without lining and not so much weight. All that said, I am very happy with it and because of its simplicity it will be a classic piece for many years to come. I think it is a gracious ladylike addition to any outfit. If it’s weight was heavier and if it was lined, it would be too structured to be as versatile. It’s like a duster worn in the Spring but it is for Fall and Winter, over your finished outfits.
