Gorgeous shoe, problematic sizing

I really wanted to keep these beautiful, interesting shoes, but the sizing did not work for me. I first ordered my normal size 9, but my feet slipped out of the heels with each step. They were at least a half inch too long for me. I then sized down to an 8.5 but could barely get them on my feet. So disappointing!
