Architectural Beauty in a Small Scale

I was especially drawn to the architectural design of the Pavilion vase and the way it feels almost like a glass structure rather than a traditional vessel. I chose the clear version intentionally to create a visual pause among my Bertil Vallien Metropolis vases and give the eye a place to rest. Only the small size was available and I initially worried it would disappear in the composition. That concern vanished once I styled it. The vertical ribbing gives the piece surprising presence and creates a sense of height that exceeds its actual scale. It catches and reflects light in a restrained way, adding dimension without competing for attention. It quietly does exactly what great design should do and makes the surrounding pieces look even stronger. After living with this piece, I find myself wanting to add another Pavilion in color. The design feels versatile enough to take on an entirely different personality depending on the glass, and I would love to explore how a colored version changes the light and mood within the collection.
