HOW TO USE IT:
- To activate: Flip the bottle upside down, remove the bottom cap and set aside. Open pouch, twist the retinol capsule onto the bottom of the bottle. Push the button down on the capsule to release pure retinol powder. Shake vigorously to fully mix the serum. Remove and discard capsule, replace with original bottom cap.
- To apply: Press down on black button 2-3 times for a pea-sized drop. Gently apply over clean, dry skin.

Deceptive
Instructions misleading on mixing skin treatment so included wrong ingredient and had to throw away. Company wouldn't refund or provide any other solutions for my loss of funds on this product, buyers beware.

Brighter/Smoother Skin AFTER 30 days
#1 RULE with this product…. You won’t see ANY improvement for 30 days, if you’re not in it for the long haul (90days) don’t waste your money, I purchased 3 to give it a fair shake. On the flip side, after that 30 day mark, RETINOL works and this Kiehl’s formulation is superbly gentle. I have the smallest of lines in a couple places, left eye and left of chin, started noticing them toward the end of summer. Slid this product into my routine and skin looks brighter, smoother. I’ve always gotten compliments on my skin, and I should, I’ve always taken care of it. *****Activation of powder and solution… turn bottle upside down, wait 5 minutes for solution to settle. Unscrew bottom off which is NOW in the upright position. Set aside. Gently screw powder cap on, GENTLY. Make sure it screws aligned properly and securely. Press the top of it down. Violently shake for 5 minutes, set a timer. Put the bottle upside down AGAIN on the table. Allow the solution to settle. Twist the powder cap off, put the original bottom of bottle back on…. annnnnnd done. Why is this activation concept so hard for people? Kiehl’s Management, R&D, listen up…. “it’s not a hard concept to activate the powder in the solution, customers are NOT reading the instructions.” You’re welcome.

I bought the next bottle before the first ran out!
I didn’t know what to expect and this stuff is expensive…I can say I have noticed it’s made a difference where I was concerned and kept concerns from happening. Basically if you spend the money you won’t be disappointed. It has kept my under eye and around the eye areas looking good.

Worth getting past the mixing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hesitant at first when I saw the powder and the mixing step, but they mixed it for me in the store so that turned out easy. I have fair skin and this product is great - I haven't experienced any redness like with other retinol products. And the applicator gives you just the right amount.
