Doesn't work!

First of all, I love the design of this watch. I originally bought it at the Kate Spade store but upon coming home, I discovered the battery was out. So, I went back to the store to get it replaced - and found out all of the watches were dead! Then, I ordered it from Bloomingdale's and it arrived today - also not working. I am unsure of whether there is a serious defect or I should try to get the battery replaced. It's not Bloomingdale's fault, but I am seriously disappointed that Kate Spade would be selling watches that are defective!
