Try before you buy

I like strong fragrances and always seek out something a bit unusual. On paper, this fit the bill. Strong, woodsy, leathery. On my skin, it was something entirely different. It started almost acidic and very quickly became something quite generic before disappearing entirely. Overall, it spent more time being soap than anything else. I thought I'd found a new fragrance to play with but the search continues.

This fragrance is a bold and smoky interpretation of vetiver with earthy depth and a slightly leathery finish. It opens with an intriguing sharpness and softens into something warm and complex. There’s a grounded elegance to it that feels both vintage and modern. The extrait strength gives it excellent longevity with just a few sprays. Woody & Overpowering

I received a 7.5ml of this in a GWP last year and I still haven't finished it. It's very strong and overpowering with an unusal woody scent. I did receive one compliment for it so it will suit some people but I would definitely recommend trying this before buying!

Try before you buy

Well all fragrances vary with skin chemistry, but this one especially, so I'd absolutely try this on skin (not paper) before you buy. I had a 7.5ml travel size from a recent perfume edit. On me, this starts slightly soapy, with some vaguely citrusy fruity sweetness - a little artificial, rather than naturalistic. On my partner, it was very soapy right from the start (he was not a fan of this). Slowly some warm vetiver takes over - this to my nose is ambroxan warming the vetiver and by 30 mins in this mix, and a touch of soapiness, is all I can smell. It is already quite close to skin, and over the next hour or two it just died away. Overall, vetiver was the least dominant part of this on both of us, so if you are not really a vetiver fan you might like this better than we did. On my partner it stayed mostly soapy throughout, with a little sweet citrus playing peekaboo after about 30 mins. My partner was very unimpressed with this. I don't find it unpleasant or annoying, just rather bland so we will not be purchasing.

A perfect vetiver perfume!

I love the scent of vetiver and this perfume really does it justice! It is light and unisex and is a perfect layering perfume to add a note of vetiver to other scents (I love it paired with ouai Melrose place!!). I’d say the vibes this gives is a walk through the woodland in spring after rain!

Beautiful scent

I received this in the perfume GWP and the first day I wore it I had two people comment on how nice I smelled. Really love this fragrance and already thinking I’ll have to repurchase or add to my Christmas list even though the last thing I need is more perfume!! It’s fresh, a little bit woody and quite unique. Less sharp that other vetiver scents and less smoky or musky than the description would’ve made me think, which for me is a good thing. Just lovely and I think would please lots of different tastes - give it a go, it’s beautiful!
