Smells great. I’ve had myrrh and Tonka, oud rose and a few others too. Sadly this only one doesn’t last long on my skin

Formula changed

I initially purchased a bottle of Vetiver & Golden Vanilla in 2021 and it was the perfectly balance of everything — perfectly unisex, perfectly warm. As my original bottle was nearly empty, I recently repurchased, and the scent is definitely different — more masculine/stereotypically cologne-y, less vanilla. It's still a nice scent but not as balanced as before.

Let's Layer.

Yes, this is a delicious fragrance that stands out. Nevertheless, I found myself wanting to balance the earthy, smoky hay grass accords with something sweet. Wild Bluebell add soft, sweet and watery floral notes that contrasts with the dryness of the vetiver, while English Pear and Freesia increases the sweet floral factor and adds a freshness that comes through all the earthiness of Vetiver and Golden Vanilla. Lastly, Grapefruit adds fizz, freshness and brightness while English Oak and Hazelnut's crisp mature woodiness combines and adds both depth and variety to the mix.

first time purchase success

My husband and I smelled this amazing scent zooming through the walk ways at a mall in Arizona while we were visiting.. We tracked it down to the Joe Malone store. This was literally love at first sniff. We could not be more convinced this scent is magical to both of us. I'm a huge vanilla lover and he more so the Vetiver or Smokiness of it. He swears it's a "him smell" and I wear it quite often when he's not around. This is a sensual and warm smell. Please don't ever discontinue it.

Favorite scent ever.!

I've been wearing Jo Malone for over 20 years and this is my favorite scent ever. Why only four stars then? They definitely changed the formula so it doesn't last as long as it used to a few years ago. My first bottle in 2021 was chef's kiss but the last couple of bottles don't have the same staying power.
