Wrong material for the strap

This is a beautiful bag and the perfect size that's neither too big or small, but the problem is that the strap is also made of suede with a string that wraps around the strap throughout giving it a "braided" look, but what it did was tear through the suede which was too soft to handle it since it's a thin layer. I didn't even use it at all but received a brand new bag with parts of the strap torn by the string itself. I'm thankful I noticed it because I would've kept this bag.
