What It Is

Beautiful Formula, Shade Not Quite Right

The formula of this lipstick is absolutely gorgeous — smooth, creamy, and incredibly comfortable on the lips. It glides on effortlessly with a satin finish that feels hydrating without slipping around. The texture feels luxurious, and it wears beautifully without emphasizing dryness or settling into lines. However, while Sahara is a stunning shade — a warm, earthy rose tone — it doesn’t quite complement my skin tone the way I hoped. On me, the warmth leans a bit too strong, and it doesn’t flatter my complexion ( v fair).

Lovely smooth formula

I received the Satin Crème Lipstick in the shade Sahara as part of the spacenk 2025 advent calendar. The lipstick is a nice, creamy and pigmented formula. The shape of the bullet is easy to shape and fill the lips without the use of a lip liner. It's not a transfer proof lipstick but colour lasts well through the day and drinks

The best

I just love Hourglass! I got the sahara one in this years calendar and it is just beautiful and so soft on the lips. Hourglass is just classic, exotic and a romantic brand. The coloura are absoluty beautiful and if you are looking for this kind of a lipstick you’re ad the right place here. A defenite recommend from me.

Nice texture but colors all too dark

I received this in Sahara shade as part of the Space NK advent calendar. I love the texture and the packaging, but the shade is very dark and too odd for me.. Now that I look at it, the entire range of colors looks weird - no traditional pink a beigy shades, which is a shame as the quality of the product is high.

Great formula

I received this lipstick in the advent calendar. The Shade Sahara is beautiful but too warm for my very fair cool-leaning complexion. I love the formula though - smooth, good pigment pay off. And the packaging in luxe. I would consider purchasing this in another share!

absolutely beautiful

I've never used any of hourglass' lip products before, but this came as part of this years's beauty advent calendar (which is incredible once again!) and it's such a gorgeous formula. A true satin feel, so it is so comfortable, but still really long lasting. The pigment payoff is stunning and I'm already eyeing up another shade to try?

Lovely texture

I received this in this year’s Space NK advent calendar and thought I’d try it straight away to see if it suited me. The colour is a little intense for me as I don’t wear much lipstick but the texture is lovely. I’m already looking to buy this button a paler shade as I love the creamy look and feel of it. The packaging is lovely too.

Satin crème for the win

This is my second Hourglass satin crème lipstick. The colour Sahara which was in the advent calendar is a bit orange and dark for my fair skin. But I’m happy I have tried it. The satin crème is so smooth and soft. Makes my lips softer as well. My mum is happy the colour wasn’t suitable for my skin tone because she loves it! I will try a lighter colour for sure.
