  • How To Use It

    To fill/refill, apply firm, even pressure on top and bottom of the eyeshadow pan to snap into a refillable palette. To remove, firmly press the top edge of the eyeshadow in a downward motion and tilt upward.

Great Pigment

Beautifully pigmented with an excellent shade range. I initially bought one for travel, but the longevity impressed me so much that I’ve since added a few more to my collection. I did think the price was a little steep for a single shade at first, but I’ve had mine for over three years and use a generous amount each time. It comes with me on all my trips abroad

Beautiful

I picked up the shade Ion on a whim at the airport before a hand-luggage-only trip, and it turned out to be such a great find. The colour is beautiful, and the pigment lasts all day and night without fading. I’ve loved it so much that I’ve since bought more shades!

Mattes are terrible, shimmers are good

If I could just review the matte shades, I would give them 1/5 at the most! They are powdery, hard to blend and the colour payoff is poor. However, the shimmers are overall pretty decent and one shade in particular (fox) is an exceptional everyday shimmer and worth having as just a single shadow.

Average eyeshadow

I love hourglass and love the little palate, however, I’m disappointed in Web. The colour doesn’t have much pigment, nor is it true to the colour swatch (much more purple than brown). I’d definitely recommend seeing/trying colours before buying. If you are looking for a purple-ish light shimmer then Web might be for you - just not for me, or what I expected.

Gem Shade is Inaccurate and Size is Laughably Tiny

I wanted to love this, but the main problem is that the shade is quite inaccurate. Online, the "Gem" shade looks like a nice amethyst purple or blackberry--and it looks like that in the pan, too. However, no matter where you swatch it (on my pale hand or eyelid), it looks very dull and brown, with a slight warm cast to it. Nothing about it looks like a purple gem. Unflattering. The second issue is that the size is laughably tiny. If the color had been lovely, I would have kept it anyway, but because the color is inaccurate, I had to return it.

Love!

I absolutely love the Fox shade of Hourglass eyeshadows! It is so pigmented and lasts all day and the shimmer is so pretty. I have had friends ask me which eyeshadow I use as they love the strong and lasting colour. Its expensive but worth it in my opinion!

Lovely blue

HOT BLUE I bought a blue one shadow palette on line and I did not realise that you had to then buy the holder separately at the time so then had to order that. The blue was a nice colour, vibrant and stayed on. Was happy with it but very expensive for what it is and much nicer products out there. Would be nice to be told you had to buy both things separately when purchasing. I do rate most other Hourglass products highly.
