Holes in material

I have been a loyal Hoka customer for 6+ yrs. I have multiple pairs and styles of Hoka's. I purchased the Stealth/ Tech Bondi 8 caged for work (dental office). Besides a lot of walking, they do not receive heavy use and are not worn every day due to I rotate them with other pairs of Hoka's (different style). Within 4 months a hole began forming on the top left shoe material area (top of the foot…non stress area not close to the toe box ). Now, another hole is forming on right shoe, similar area. I've never had this issue before with my Hoka's….usually the cushion wears out, never the material in a non stress area. Being that they are less than a year old, with not even daily wear, I submitted a warranty claim. I feel the craftsmanship is fine but the material choice is poor. Very stiff, thin material. I noticed several other people have written reviews as well about the material failing. Unfortunately, my claim was denied siting "normal wear". I disagree. I have other pairs of Hoka's that are 3 yrs old and look practically brand new. I wasn't expecting a full reimbursement but at least credit toward another pair. Very disappointed. Questioning whether or not I will be a future customer.
