Wonderful until they started falling apart

My son requested these because he had Achilles tendonitis and they were recommended. They helped him so much, but after 3 weeks the black part on the bottom of the shoe is coming apart. I'm about to try super glueing them and hope that gets him by for a while, but I'm highly disappointed since it was such an expensive purchase for me. They are wonderful shoes, other than that.

So far, so good.

I have only worn the Arahi 7s one day. They are beautiful and appear to be of the usual first-rate Hoka quality. I love my Gaviota 5s, so I'm still trying to decide which I like better, but I like to wear a different pair of shoes every day, so I may never decide.

Look good but not comfortable to wear

I retuned them after a few days. They were not comfortable for me to wear walking or running. However, they did look nice.

Tongue should be longer

Fine, firm, supportivee shoe but the Arahi 7 seems to have a bit shorter tongue then the previous versions. I have to dig through the laces to pull the tongue tight/flat before tying

I want to say i love them but ...

This is my second pair of these shoes, but in this updated model, they have added a plastic piece that lines the lace holes and wraps around your ankle. When walking, this part digs into my ankle and hurts. I wish it was a softer plastic or just on the laces and not wrapping the ankle

We, too, hoped this model would be a hit, but pain from any part of your shoes is a no-go. If loosening the laces or a new lacing technique doesn't help, take advantage of our 30-day trial: bit.ly/HOKA30Day and see if our Gaviota 5 or Skyward X could offer a better fit. Both are ultra-plush- the Gaviota 5 offers stability with its supportive H-frame system, while the Skyward X features a resilient carbon fiber plate and stable supercritical EVA frame, which you may find comparable.

my new Arahi 7

I use for gym , walking and cycling. I previously had Rincon 3 and loved them. So far not overly empressed with the Arahi 7. Reason is that they are not as comfortable. Same size feels smaller than Rincon. Hopefully they break in better than so far.

Arahi Fit Has Changed

I have worn Arahi 4., 5 & 6, men's 10 regular. The Arahi is as was cautioned in several reviews too narrow for me. I will go to a local retail store where I can try on both wide and regular
