Cute jeans but not the vibe

I have these jeans in the colors Deep End and Soundwave (black), and I love them! I've learned that the colored jeans (this grey one and the black one) are much lighter in weight than the actual denim ones. I felt that it made this grey pair look too casual, and more like sweatpants, due to the bagginess. Not what I was looking for.
