Overwhelming

I have very sensitive skin and used Comfort Cream for many years and was so disappointed when it was discontinued with no warning. I tried this product as it seemed to be the closest to Comfort Cream that I could find in the Estée Lauder moisturizer line. Besides the overwhelming scent, my face immediately broke out. Since Estée Lauder has discontinued most of my products, leaving me little to buy, I'll need to find another company for my skincare needs. Disappointing to say the least.

Definitely worth it

I have really dry skin but I hate moisturizers that leave my skin feeling greasy. This product is fantastic. As other reviews say, it does have a fairly strong and musky smell but it fades within a few minutes. I highly recommend

Smell is too strong

The cream itself I like but I strongly dislike the smell. It is way to strong and the verdict is still out how long my skin will tolerate it.

The Best! Nothing Compares!

This is a cult classic, originally from 1974. The formula has since been reformulated but will feel mostly the same as it did when I tried it the first time in 1996. This being said, the blend of oils in this formula will undoubtedly leave a very nice and moisturized feel on the skin with an elegant satiny finish. It is rich, despite the name "Lightweight". It will provide ample moisture and nourishment for drier skin types. "Lightweight" refers to being a lightweight moisturiser compared to moisturisers of its launch time when moisturisers tended to be far heavier. However, by today's standards, this product is by no means light! This is a rich, comforting, replenishing creme for drier skin. I love how comforting this moisturiser is and how beautiful finish it leaves on the skin giving it an inner glow! I have used this product since 1996 and cannot be without it! I even used it on my children in the cold winters to protect their skin. Which it did beautifully! Fragrance of the last batches (from 2020) had far less fragrance and had a powdery "roundness" to it like the one I remember from the batches since the 90s, unlike the batches I encountered in the past 12 years where the fragrance tended to be much more and also somewhat sharper. I do prefer the more powdery version, and a smaller amount. I also have to say, how glad it makes me that the ELC have decided to continue producing this gem after all! Your faithful customers will also return! (Attaching the ad from 1975 and a picture of the packaging from 1996 and today.)
