The lid does not work with only having the cup for four months

Loved it, but the lid broke

I must say I am impressed with Ember products but I give them a three star because I’ve replaced my charging base on my regular cup multiple times and now the lid is broken on my travel mug and there’s none in stock. This company seems to have a problem maintaining stock. Not to mention their app is very flaky and I’ve had to reload my mugs twice now. When I buy a product from a company, I’m creating a relationship with that company and so far this relationship is a bit one-sided.

Needs USB-C direct

I would probably buy this if I could just plug it into the same USB-C cable I use to charge everything else including my computer at home/car/truck/boat/work. I get that people might not want to have an attached cable, and the stand is slicker when sitting at a desk, but for me, there's no way am I getting multiple ember-proprietary charger stands, or carrying them around with me. It would be slightly better if it used standard wireless charging, but I'd still want the wired connection.

Travel Mug Lid Breaks and Fails Closed - Common

I have owned Travel Mug 1 and Travel Mug 2. They are excellent for keeping products at the appropriate temperature while the battery lasts. Beware - Huge product flaw with the lid. It is a spring and latch activated lid that you can push down to lock open and push down again to close. This system is poorly designed and fails regularly into the closed position. I do not use this function and only keep my mug lid in the open position. With the way the mug is designed, I have never felt a need to close it. My third lid just failed this morning and I have only had this current replacement lid for 8 months. This needs to be addressed.
