Perhaps my expectations were a tad too high.

I really wanted to love this mug. Unfortunately, I was so disappointed. At full charge it didn't last (keep warm) a full hour. I've tried it every morning with the same results. Plus, I sat the mug on its coaster charger in-between drinks and only gained an extra 7 minutes. The style and design, as nice as it is, definitely isn't worth the exuberant price I paid.

The mug works, the app doesn't.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas, it was something she wanted very much. I've never had a gift be so disappointing almost right out of the (extremely well-designed, well-made, very attractive, remember this part, we'll come back to it) box. It isn't the mug that's the problem. It works well, shes very happy with it. The problem is the garbage app that goes along with it. It won't stay connected, it only half functions when it is connected, the mug doesn't even stay on her phone as a recognized device. Our phones are Pixel 7's, not the latest but not terribly outdated, running the latest Android software. There's no reason for the app to be so dysfunctional. If Ember would spend as much on their app as they clearly did on package design (I said we'd come back to that) then it would be one of the best tools available today. Sadly, it seems they made the app as less than an afterthought, simply because someone mentioned it as a parting thought on the way out of a marketing meeting. They surely don't seem bothered by all the complaints about it.

Major Connectivity Issues, Worthless App

I go this mug for Christmas and I was so excited. It feels like it was a complete waste of money and I'm so disappointed in it. I struggled to get it connected to the app. I had to update the app, reset the mug, and finally got it working. It worked for a few days and then it wouldn't connect again. I reset and paired it and it worked one day and then the next day it wouldn't connect. The mug appears in my list of Bluetooth devices until I try to connect and then it disappears, so it can't connect. It's really useless if it can't connect to the app. Having to reset and re-pair every day is ridiculous. If they invested in making the app work well, then it would be great. As it is, the app is awful, connectivity a huge problem, and it's just not worth the money. I'm honestly sorry I asked for it for Christmas. I even mentioned it to a friend and she also got it for Christmas. I really hope she's having better luck. What a disappointment in the end. I feel bad my husband spend so much money on it.

New experience

Got this for XMas from my daughter. I thought I knew everything about enjoying great coffee. Boy was I wrong. No more gulping down the last half of your morning brew before it’s too cold to drink. Once a worked my way through loading the app and setting the temperature, it’s so easy. Never did I think I would need my phone to enjoy a great cup of coffee.

It’s not the same coffee ty Ember

I only have a short time with the Mug2 and I love it. I didn’t know what I was missing in a cup of coffee. I’m ordering one for each of my family so Ember please get ready. You guys have built a beautiful package and only time will tell on how it’s built inside. I think my Christmas gift is a big win ty Ember.

Not happy.

I have to re-pair the mug every time I use it. I never know when it’s going to work. When it work’s it’s great. Very aggravating. Not nearly worth the price.
