Decadent Velvet Gown sure2impress; So comfortable!
Wearing this dress is akin to savoring a decadent Christmas dessert. It's beautiful plum color falls nicely into the bride's winter palette and is perfectly modest and comfortable for the MOG. No itchy lace under the arms. Freedom to move and dance with ease! Fully lined with an absolutely gorgeous flow. I'm just shy of 5'4.75" tall with a long waist and short legs; 29.5"-30" inseam. Tried it on with 3.5" platforms and 3.75" heels and though it almost kissed the ground w/ the shorter heels, I didnt step on it once in the store. No alterations necessary! Typically wear a size 4 but currently closer to a size 6 @ 126 lbs. Only thing needed is a good strapless bra or bustier for more support. Love that the front does not cling tightly to chest, and the back is so elegant with three half round velvet buttons w/ elastic loops as a neck closure with a simple elegant vertical slit on top of back with a smallish zipper on bottom of back for ease of dressing. I did not need assistance in getting myself buttoned up! This dress accentuates my tree trunk waist (almost 30")! Whether you're attending a military ball, wedding or some other special event, if you're looking for a tastefully flattering, modest yet elegant, comfortable floor length gown, this is the dress for you! Wedding is coming up and excited to wear this dress.

Great color, bad fit
The color is beautiful but the top section puffs out so much, it made me look 15 pounds heavier.

A Lovely, Flattering Surprise!
I did not think this burgundy/plum velvet dress would fit correctly with its non-stretch waist as I am rather large around the middle, but I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did the waist fit, but the dress was wildly flattering from the side and made me look about ten pounds lighter! The neckline is one of my flattering go-to's and I was pleased to see the neckline ran a bit wide than most, as the buttons were BRUTAL to open and close - I just figured I'd put on the dress and THEN do my hair and makeup, but since I know that is not realistic for most women (my hair is super-short), I would strongly recommend replacing the elastic buttonholders with longer ones ASAP!
