cocoa jacket
This a lovely jacket , but runs too large. The overall jacket is too large for me

Boxy and Sadly Unflattering
I should know better - if it does not even look spectacular on the model, it will look even worse on average humans. This jacket was boxy, had scratchy fabric, and although well-tailored, just not flattering on my 5'8" frame - definitely for a shorter customer. I have purchased linen jackets elsewhere for a fraction of this price and they have been workhorses in my closet - but this was a hard pass.
Good Basic
I purchased this linen jacket in Cocoa. It was an impulse buy due to the price. The fit is a little wide and lacks structure in the shoulders because it's linen. Otherwise it fits great in my normal EF XL size. The Cocoa color will be versatile. I'm going to steam and shape the shoulder area to get the shipping creases out.

Huge shoulders
I find that the shoulders on Eileen Fisher’s linen jackets are just too wide lately. And the big patch pockets are just in the wrong place to emphasize any weight, even a little, in the middle. The fabric was lovely and I’m a big Eileen fisher fan! I did keep the Cocoa double breasted linen jacket with a collar and welt pockets. . I’m a size medium in EF but had to size down to an extra small in the latter jacket to get the shoulders right and to get the more flattering welt pockets as opposed to the big patch ones. I hope next season she makes jackets with average shoulder widths and without the great big patch pockets in the front.
