It's engineered with the power, intelligence, versatility, and run time for a cleaner, healthier home. It intelligently optimizes suction power based on floor type and debris picked up. The LCD screen indicates when to keep cleaning an area and when to move on. The Fluffy Optic cleaner head reveals invisible dust on hard floors. The de-tangling Digital Motorbar cleaner head deep cleans carpets and hard floors without tangles. Its versatile cordless format transforms into a handheld vacuum with one click so you can clean up high, down low, and everywhere in between. The wand detaches to reveal a ready-to-go tool for continuous cleaning. Compared to the Dyson V8 . ²Actual run time will vary based on power mode, dust level, floor type and/or attachments used. Best vacuum ever!

Best stick vacuum I’ve ever owned! The Dyson Gen5detect is hands-down the best vacuum I’ve ever used. The suction is insane for a stick vacuum, and the laser dust detection is one of those features you don’t realise you need until you see how much dirt it reveals. As a cat owner, the real test for me is pet hair—and this vacuum absolutely nails it. It pulls cat hair out of my carpet and easily picks up from those spots along baseboards where fur loves to hide. I had used my old vacuum 3 days before purchasing this Dyson and tried it straight away out of the box and was amazed how much it picked up that my old stick didn’t! Battery life is solid, the vacuum is surprisingly quiet for how powerful it is, and it’s lightweight enough to use daily without feeling like a workout. The LCD screen showing real-time particle counts is a cool bonus and makes it feel like a high-tech cleaning tool rather than just another vacuum. Yes, it’s pricey—but the performance, build quality, and results make it 100% worth it especially if you can get it on sale like I did. If you have pets this vacuum is a game changer. Highly recommend.

I bought my Dyson in June. I really want it to be my "forever" vacuum cleaner, but it keeps jamming. There are instructions to clear the blockage, but it keeps happening. I am currently overseas. Dyson said I could take it to your facility at East Tamaki which I will do when I am back in Auckland.

Overall great stick vacuum by Dyson

This is a great stick vacuum cleaner. It has great suction for carpet and wooden floors and attachments very handy. Easy to clean the filters and battery life is very good when using on auto. I like the on off button very useful. Would highly recommend.

Great on hard floors, terrible on rugs.

Awesome vacuum cleaner on hard floors and carpets but terrible on rugs as the suction jams the head constantly. The only way I have overcome this is to vacuum backwards. Otherwise highly recommended.
