While the self-cleaning mechanism removes dirt and hair with every rotation. The automatic waste separation system keeps dirty water separate from dry debris for easy and hygienic disposal. Easily switch between four power modes to tackle anything from hair and debris to sticky spills and dried-on stains. For best results, add Dyson 02 Probiotic formulation to clean water. Comparisons based on design differences: vacuums with exhaust filters can release odors or microorganisms during use. Because our machine has no exhaust filter, there is no re-emission from a filter. Tested against Staphylococcus Aureus and wet dog odor. For use on hard floor only. Reassembling

I bought this Dyson 3 weeks ago and could not put the pieces back together. I spent a long time on the phone to Dyson with the woman trying to work out how to attach the part. She could not help and suggested I return it. I found a friend who had bought the same Dyson and she showed me how to reassemble it. You tube videos were not helpful.

Few steps forward, more steps back

Dyson solved the maintenance issue as far as I can tell from the g1 by grouping the dirty water tank right above the roller. It's a good move and it does make maintainece easier as I hav to worry less about gunk buildup in hard/impossible to reach places. But honestly. On a few fronts this has been a bit of a downgrade. 1. The single roller while being quieter and arguably more efficient when considered in isolation actually picks up better in the pushing forward compared to pulling back. I've had debris that kept rolling around on the floor instead of being swept up when pulling the machine back. 2. The dirty tank is smaller so I do feel I have to empty it just a bit more often than with the g1 3. The clearing of the debris and dirty tank is a nightmare. It's almost impossible to not get drips even when handling it in the suggested manner. Basically the debris tray is not water tight and tilting it ever so slightly will cause whatever residual dirty water and debris to flow out the sides. 4. The self cleaning cycle incorporates the drying. While that sounds good on paper keep in mind that if you're doing a post dinner end of day clean up, you actual have to wait for the drying cycle to complete before clearing the dirty water tank. And that involves moving the entire mop to where ever is most convenient (in case the debris tray drips) after the drying cycle that can last up to 30 minutes. 5. Not sure how it happened but I've had debris collect on the dock after the self cleaning cycle, and water pooling around it as well. Which to be fair was present in the g1 as well, but that's apparently not fixed. All in all, probably would not readily recommend and would advise to do more research with competing brands in this segment, though it can also be argued that the size and weight of this is very handy and most competitors lose out in this area.

Very bad product. Do not buy

This is a very poor product and not worth buying. 1. Cleaning ability is low. One roller means it only really cleans when you pull it backward, so very slow 2. Drips water everywhere when in use and leaves streaks 3. Water goes everywhere when you empty the tank 4. Self cleaning doesn’t clean the roller at all. Very bad product
