I love a good enzyme cleanser and I like the fact that this one is in powder form which you add water to… but my skin reacted really badly to it. My skin was red and raw after using this, and it took a week for my skin to recover. Although my skin was smooth after using it, the product was not good for my skin and damaged the skin barrier.

Really love this
The Dr Barbara Sturm Enzyme Cleanser is a favourite of mine. When you add water it creates a beautifully thick and creamy cleanser / exfoliator. I only use it a couple of times a week, but I find it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. A little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts for ages.

Refreshing and effective cleanser
I love Barbara Sturm products, but wasn't sure what to think of a cleanser that it actually a powder. But it is very easy to use, it lathers up beautifully, and the skin feels very clean after without feeling stripped.

Not impressed
Enzyme powder cleansers have been around for some time and are ideal for those looking for gentle exfoliation without the harshness of scrubbing. I have mixed feelings about this product. While I find it pleasant to use and notice that my skin feels smoother and cleaner afterwards, I don’t believe it provides enough benefits to justify regular use. Additionally, it is quite expensive for what it delivers. I don’t plan to repurchase it anytime soon.

So nice and gentle
So nice and very gentle polish. I use it in the evening after balm. My skin is oily so I use it almost every evening for other skin types you don’t need to use it so often. The packaging is just endless. It lasts a very long time.

Reaction, be cautious!
I received it as a sample and having tried numerous exfoliaters physical,chemical and powder I thought nothing of trying this out. Wow wish I’d patch tested this first. Nothing really happened the evening I used it, didn’t feel tingling or sore etc but the next day I woke up with 2 patches on my upper cheeks like crepe paper, extremely dry and fragile. Which then got worse as the day went on. I had to baste my cheeks in 8 hour cream continually through the day to keep some form of hydration, even that wasn’t enough. I’d say like a burn almost. Having tried lots of products throughout the years I haven’t experienced anything like that. If you are thinking of trying this you may have a different experience but patch test it first as my reaction took a good few days to get back to normal.

I got this one as a smaple at first and only used couple of times to start with. I put it away and forgot all about it. Then i came across it and gave it another go and i fell in love. It is an enzyme powder, i tend to mix it with any face mist i have on hand and let it stay on my face for a bit before shower. It isnt harsh but would advise to be aware of its potency. If your compexion is sensitive worth to be cosiderate. I tend to get a lovely, deep cleasne especially after a long day wear of heavy make up that i clude spf. I got a full size product now.
