What It Is

Dr. Barbara Sturm's CALMING SERUM rebalances irritated skin by helping to reduce redness and burning and restoring a healthy barrier function. The lightweight, lipid-based formula utilizes a potent, plant-based complex of ingredients including Cardiospermum, a vine that calms aggravated skin, Echium, which is rich in saturated fatty acids that help hydrate and soothe, Sunflower Seed Oil which helps neutralize free radicals in the skin and Purslane, an anti-aging powerhouse that helps reduce the visible signs of irritation. CALMING SERUM can be used regularly or occasionally as required by your skin, and complements all skin types, including extremely dry skin.

    After cleansing, apply to the face. Wait for the serum to absorb before applying Dr. Barbara Sturm's FACE CREAM. To reduce skin sensitivity, use regularly in the morning and/or evening. If you are using the CALMING SERUM with other serums, apply after all clear serums.

Lovely calming serum

This really is a touch of luxury. I had a sample to try and absolutely loved it. The milky white texture is just right, not too runny and not a thick cream, It glides on to the skin and is absorbed easily. My skin felt soft and nourished after use. The price tag is high and perhaps one to save for when there is a sale but I will buy this, I just really loved it. Recommended.

Just ok

I had a small sample of this that I finally got around to using. It’s a lovely milky texture, and it absorbs easily. It’s unscented. I used it the morning after doing an overnight peel. Whilst it helped my skin look moisturized and helped reduced the redness, other (less expensive) products I have used have also done the same. Lovely product but couldn’t justify buying it especially as I wouldn’t have the need to use it that much.

Can use solo!

This serum combines both the properties of a cream and the properties of a serum. For me, it contains enough hydration and calming. it gives a pleasant feeling to the face both during application and after. it has a delicate texture and a truly soothing effect. I think it can be used solo. She is so self-sufficient. I use it in the morning, then spf, then lifting serum.

Magical!

This serum feels so light and delicate. It really does help to calm my skin when it's red and inflamed. It works like a magic potion! It's also really ease to layer into your skincare routine. A little goes a long way, so it also lasts quite a long time too.

Works nicely but priced too high

I use calming serums once in a while (post-facial, change of seasons, after exfoliation). This is a milky consistency that works but I do think it can be more nourishing and replenishing. The price is way too high for basic calming and soothing function. Packaging is solid, though.
