    Paris in the early '60s. The Saint-Germain quarter was alive with the rhythm of all-night sessions in jazz clubs and artistic encounters. People would discuss the world, dance and laugh in a warm atmosphere as vibrant as it was elegant ... Orphéon was one of the bars, filled with joyful effervescence, where the three founders of the nearby diptyque boutique liked to meet. Today, paying tribute to this era and to creative friendships, the bar is immortalized in the olfactory portrait that bears its name: Orphéon.

    Freeze frame: curls of tobacco smoke mingle with powdery trails of blusher, lingering on burnished wood. At the heart of the composition is the atmosphere of that unforgettable place, recognizable through the warmth of the tonka bean, the depth of cedar and the vivacity of juniper berries.

This was a nice purchase with a lovely scent. I’m still discovering the brand and enjoyed trying this perfume. It’s pleasant and well made, though I wouldn’t call it mind-blowing or intensely intoxicating. Overall, it’s a good choice for everyday wear and a gentle introduction to the brand. overall!

Distinctive

Purchased as a gift my son. (who is young). It’s a distinctive scent which lingers wherever the wearer has been (in a good way). It has a powdery finish which is most pleasing. A lovely unisex or male fragrance - quite different to other fragrances out there. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something unique and delightful.

Purchased the festive gold embellished version of this scent after browsing in store. Phenomenally subtle easy to wear scent, perfect for days or nights. Lots of compliments when wearing and lasts all day no need to reapply. The seasonal edition has a gold and black presentation box and gold decorations on the glass bottle. Makes a striking and beautiful gift.

A male fragrance

I have in mind that scents sit differently on everyone and I can say only about myself. On me Orpheon is a very powdery, manly-shaving cream vibe scent. It is definitely grounded and creamy but not really my vibe. It has a freshness in the opening but sets much sweeter and creamier at the end which gives it a heaviness in a way.
