Evokes memories...
I've tried several Byredo candles. They always burn well and the fragrance lasts. I purchased this online based on the reviews and was wondering if it was a bit of a risk as I'm not a great fan of the scent of cloves. However, the scent isn't too strong and it has an interesting fragrance which really does remind me of going into church as a child, when incense was burning. Whilst that description perhaps doesn't sound the most appealing, it is a lovely fragrance. Their candles are stylishly packaged, so they're great for gifts too.

Smells quite terrible
I know scent is very subjective and everyone reacts to it differently, but this candle smells pretty bad. Have been trying to find its saving grace by switching rooms, lighting it during different times of the day, keeping it lit for different periods, etc. Nope! As someone who’s spent a lot of time in old churches of any kind, there’s nothing that reminds me of being inside a church whatsoever. And can’t even fathom how this smells like Christmas.

Holiday Candle

Has a pungent smell I do not care for.
Strong but wonderful scent
I'm a big fan of Byredo candles; I love the black wax and smokey black glass - just so chic. This one is a gorgeous scent but be warned it is very strong so I would avoid using it in a small room. I tend to light it in my hallway and the smell travels and is faint throughout my home.

Great candle.
This is absolutely my favourite Byredo candle. It was a special edition Christmas one a few years ago and then was not available so great that they have re-released in their standard format. Lovely winter warming smell. And perfect for seasonal scent.

Lovely
This is a very woodsy, winter scented candle and it brings me some much needed holiday cheer. Byredo claims that the candle burns for about 60 hours, which I think is true based on how long I have been burning it for/ how much I have left. To get the best experience just shorten the wick before use.
