The right bag for the journey

I purchased the Medium Upright Duffel for an upcoming multi-day trip. Though I have yet to use it on the road, I have test loaded it and found that it should accommodate my needs nicely. A very handsome, useful bag that is smaller than my "ten days of travel" Briggs & Riley large bag. The smaller size barely diminishes the capacity while allowing greater ease of use. I appreciate the thoughtful design and placement of pockets and points of access. It wheels nicely and, because of the multiple grip points, hefting the loaded bag is not overly taxing. I am looking forward to both, the trip and using this excellent bag.

Nothing surpasses B&R quality

Excited to give this as a gift. I bought for my husband to replace his old B&R gray fabric rolling duffle that he had for 15+ years. He was obsessed with the gray one so I’m hoping this one will be similar. This one is a great size. Good for long trips but not overly cumbersome. You can’t beat Briggs and Riley quality. Everything is getting more and more expensive, but this one was $100 off!

Perfect Bag for our River Cruise

This is the perfect bag for our European River Cruise this summer. This duffle plus 2 under seat carry-on bags will carry everything my wife and I will need on the trip with room to spare. We did a practice pack just to make sure. What is really great about this duffle is once it's empty it folds down to slide under the bed making for easy storage. We couldn't believe how much it holds - and it's the medium size! I highly recommend this bag.

My Pilot LOVES this Duffle!

I purchased the medium upright duffle and the matching carry-on for my husband (military pilot) for Christmas AND HE LOVES THEM (which is a feat, as he often returns gifts). He loves the weight, the length of the handle, and the way the design of the bars on the exterior maximizes the storage space inside -- it fits clothes, boots, toiletries, EVERYTHING to make even winter travel a one-bag affair. I'm going to celebrate our brand new FOREVER relationship with Briggs & Riley by purging our closets of every other suitcase he owns, lol!

Great quality duffel

Bought this for my son and he is absolutely thrilled with it. It contains enough room and compartments for all his gear when he goes snowboarding. He will also use it when he goes away to college next year.

Narrow for isles in trains!

I bought one of these many years ago specifically to roll down the narrow isles of trains in Japan. It has held up very well.

Can’t wait to use it again

We purchased this for an upcoming dive live aboard trip to Cuba. As space will be at a premium, we thought this bag might offer good space for our clothes and fold down compactly. We used it for the first time on a camping trip and it was awesome. I will update this review after our trip.

Great duffle!

We are (nearly) retired and enjoy the new-found freedom to travel at will. No longer do we have to rush back home for work on Monday. I needed a larger bag to check for longer trips. The medium upright duffle is perfect: accommodates all I need, rolls easily, stands on its own, and looks great. Thanks!
