Will always choose Braun!
Our old Braun died, so we needed to replace it. We wanted a new Braun, but it was difficult to find, so we tried a new Cuisinart coffee maker. Big mistake! After only 2 months, we replaced it with this Braun. What a difference! The pot and lid do not drip when pouring, and it brew coffee very quietly.

Updated Basic Coffee Pot

great coffee maker!
So easy to use AND to take apart to clean! Am just beginning to adjust the type ofground coffee and quantity , but am delighted with taste in these early days. Expect your first cup within a very few minutes. Highly recommended for we who are well over 80.
Works well & looks good
I like Braun because it's a coffee maker company. I chose this one because it's the only one I could find in white, and it goes well with my kitchen (this is the second one I've bought). There are 2 things I don't like about it, though: once you put the water into the water container, there's no visible indication of the water level. The other thing--and all of the quality drip coffee makers are like this now--is that the entire lid has to open up in order to pour in the water. I liked the older models, where you just opened a small lid to pour it in.

water level
Biggest problem is the water level, can not see how much water you are putting in. You will need a flashlight and ladder to see inside. Horrible design. After handling the water level problem, it eventually makes a good cup of coffee.

Brand new out of the box and the LED display does nit light up. Will have to return.
