My Favorite Fragance Purchase!!

A Gourmand for Everyone

First, let me start with the obligatory: this is an exquisite fragrance! The cacao is a light blanket, grounded by hazelnut and jasmine sambac, and the caramel adds a gentle buttery quality. The whispers of cedar and moss are barely detectable: their presence is only enough to tamp down any cloying sweetness that cacao tends to bring to perfume, and add a touch of green. The ambroxan makes this scent puzzlingly comforting and familiar, tying all of these notes together to create a profile that is utterly unique yet so, so wearable. I’m not known to like gourmands, and would normally drop money on a luxury gourmand. Except for this beauty! There’s a distinct cocoa-y sweetness, but the various green notes— and single jasmine note— turn this into an absolutely intoxicating and delightful fragrance that is all-encompassing, but not overwhelming. Great sillage and longevity, even despite my notoriously dry skin that tends to eat up fragrance.
