Thin and easy to get messed up

Was excited for it but it’s quite already got tangled up in the original box. It took us a while to take it out and really eat to get tangled. Look like there’s a dent/distort in the spot it got tangled. Also, the "535" stamp indicates the piece is roughly 53.5% pure gold, which is slightly less than the standard 14k gold mark of "585" (58.5% pure gold). It is considered a 12.8-karat gold alloy instead of 14k gold?
