Inaccurate Sizing

I received these slides today. They’re very nice and lightweight. While trying them on, I noticed they were almost too small. It was at that point, I checked the box to make sure the correct size was sent. Then I checked the order history to make sure the correct size was ordered. According to the website, a sz 40 is a sz 10 in US. Which, with some Brands this a true. However, according to the box this particular brand; a sz 40 is a sz 9 in US..Once I loosened the straps, I was able to make them work. Had the straps not been adjustable, I would’ve had to return them. Please note, I do not have wide feet. I’m part of the group, where sizing depends on the Brand. Some shoes I can wear a 9, designer shoes I wear a 40(10)..I would recommend ordering accordingly.
