Beautiful jacket Horrible smell

This is our family's 4th Barbour waxed jacket. The quality and fit are great. However, this Sapper waxed jacket has a very strong industrial wax smell. (none of our other waxed jackets had this strong odor) It literally smells like it was in an oil field. I didn't even try to wear it. Perhaps it was a fluke. regardless, I returned the jacket and will decide if I want to try a different Barbour. Bloomingdales return policy is excellent!
