nice to use

I got this as part of a gift with purchase set in a deluxe size which has lasted several weeks. Mostly I've used it in the evenings after cleansing and before moisturiser. It's been nice to use but I haven't noticed any particular positive effects. I have had a few darker blemishes on my face recently and was hoping this would help them fade a little. Overall I like to keep my routine simple so doubt I would add in this extra step without seeing anything beneficial.

Just OK

This is a pretty decent toner and is hydrating for the skin, however I did not find it an effective exfoliant, as described and I did not see much of an effect after using it for weeks. The texture is nice and sinks into the skin really easily but for nearly £80 for a full-size bottle, that is as to be expected really! I personally do not think this is value for money and won't be repurchasing.

Interesting product

I have combination oily skin that tend to be dehydrated and is acne prone. I got this as a part of the set. It works quite well under the serum but it is not a standalone product for me. A bit hard to see what it does but it performs well along other AB products. Not sure I would purchase it myself.

Not sure about this one

I am a big fan of AB but I am sure about this one. I used this for a few week an I not notice a difference in my skin at all. The texture I like water but lightly thicker so the right amount come out miraculously. That said, my skin did not absorb it effectively.

It's changed my mind.

I've tried a number of Augustinus Bader samples of products and have always felt that they are overpriced and that there are other better products out there. However, this is the first product of this brand that I've tried and feel it would be worth purchasing. I got a small bottle of this in a gift box; only a small amount is needed so it's lasted me a few weeks. It has a thicker consistency which makes it easy to apply. I have mature, dry skin and using this I've noticed that it's definitely made it look smother. I will purchase a full size product.

Nice but overpriced

I habe combination oily skin that is dehydrated most of the time. I love using essences before serums, however I have never seen an essence that is powerful on its own and thus can and should be expensive. This product is no different. It is very nice on skin, works well enough with most of serums but I didn’t see anything that would make this price tag reasonable. However, if cost is not a problem, then I would recommend this product.

Don’t skip this skin care step!

I like the scent and hydration this toner gives my skin. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t require much. It’s expensive but goes a long way.

Perfect for mature skin

This is a great product for mature skin (I'm 52). It's easy to apply and is quickly absorbed. No strong scent. Skin is looking glow-y. I have sensitive skin (reacts to changing water when I travel!) and had no issues at all using The Essence. Would I buy again? Yes.
