Slow to Boil
Takes WAY to long to bring water to a boil. Wasn't expecting that. Looks beautiful, though.

Quality steamer
I used to steam my vegetables using a cheap steamer basket (the ones that extend open and close like a flower) I got tired of it as the petals were falling apart. So I decided to buy the All-Clad steamer and I am very happy with the quality. The pot comes with a quality lid that is heavy and keeps most of the vapor inside the pot. The steamer has room to place different veggies; I specially cook sweet potatoes, butternut squash, zucchini and more. The actual pot is nice looking and shiny; works great for soups. I highly recommend it.

A great steamer!
This is a great steamer. We steam a lot of vegetables daily for dinner. Once it has been heated, oven mitts or gloves are necessary as the components get very hot.

feels very cheap
This isn’t the best quality all-clad like their regular stuff is, this is very thin and lightweight, I’m very pleased.

Sturdy, effective, but requires strong wrists
It’s good, solid, stainless steel set with no glass parts, so it should hold up to frequent use and perhaps tolerate better to being dropped than did the aluminum set it replaces. It heats up quickly and conserves the boil well with its thick walls and tight-fitting lid. Its weight makes it a bit difficult to handle—lifting either base or steaming section with one hand can be hard on the wrist, and as it’s designed, neither section can keep its balance placed on its side, which is an inconvenience on a crowded counter. But sacrificing lightweight convenience for sturdiness and efficient function is more than a fair trade, for me.

Can't Go Wrong with All Clad
Wanted to treat myself to a new pot that was not non-stick.This us a nice size and has a pasta insert bonus.

Perfect
I’m an All-Clad cook. I love everything All-Clad. This pot was missing from my collection and I was happy to find it on sale. Like all All-Clad it’s a high quality product. It’s the perfect size for making soups and stews. It’s also great for boiling or even steaming vegetable, corn and large amounts of pasta. I highly recommend everything All-Clad has to offer.
