Call 911- fashion emergency

Bought this dress on a Wednesday for a sat evening gala. Was thrilled it needed no hem as I’m 5’2. Fit longer than pictured but hemming was not in my time window. Got dressed. Loved with the dress. Drove to the event. Got out of the car and almost tripped- the “hem” is actually glued on the left and right seam and one side had separated loosening the entire hem which now hung down an additional 4-5 INCHES around the entire dress except on the one side with the glue attached. We are at an event. My dress is not only dragging across the floor in all directions but requires two hands to hold it up - one on each side. Forget a purse! Forget a drink or food. I’m strictly in dress holding mold. I can’t shake a hand or give a hug for fear of tripping. Luckily a dancer at the event offered up some safety pins so at least I could stand without falling. It definitely added an element of humor to this event but seriously??? Going back to the store today..,
