Rug Maintenance & Care
Properly maintained, a rug can last you decades. Here’s everything you need to know to keep the next addition to your home looking its best for years to come.
HOW TO CLEAN YOUR RUG
Shake and vacuum regularly and rotate it every six months to prevent uneven wear from furniture and foot traffic. Spills should be blotted clean immediately, not rubbed or wiped, which can cause stains to set and the fibers of the rug to fray. If water and gentle daubing aren’t getting a stain out, have your rug professionally cleaned.
HOW TO STORE YOUR RUG
When not in use, roll it up with the pattern facing inwards and place in a dry, well-ventilated area. Rugs shouldn’t be stored in airtight bags, but they can be wrapped in a breathable cloth for additional security.
HOW TO PROTECT YOUR RUG
Besides reducing slippage, a rug pad will cut down on everyday wear by acting as a soft, supportive base for your rug. Keeping it out of direct sunlight will also prevent fading and color loss. Finally, our WORRYNOMORE® Rug Protection Plan is the ultimate guarantee against any unforeseen accidents.
